                                                             Layout of  Endstation C

General Information

  • Nominal beam size = 0.60 x 0.20 mm2
  • Energy range = 40-70keV (tunable)
  • X-ray Powder Diffraction using a large area (2k x 2k pixels) detector (200micron pixel), distance to sample can be varied - more details here
  • X-ray Pair Distribution Function measurements using another large area (2k x 2k pixels) detector (200 micron pixel) – Qmax is 30 Angstrom-1 - more details here
  • Flat plate or capillary, transmission geometries - more details here
  • High-throughput measurements using the robotic sample changer (capillary and flat sample) - more details here
  • Optics modeling and rationale for the design of the XPD beamline can be found in the document :

Capabilities

End Station C: Diffraction & Scattering (XRD & PDF)

End Station D: Diffraction & Scattering (XRD & PDF), Computed Tomography (X-CT, XRD/PDF-CT), Spectroscopy: XRF
